Natalie Strohmaier is a photographer and AI artist based in Munich. She plans and compositions her images down to the last detail. Whether a motif is built by hand and photographed, generated entirely with AI, or a combination of both, depends on the individual image and on what is beautiful. Her independent work deals with social issues she encounters in everyday life, among them the excess of sugar and plastic, the symptoms of perimenopause, and the gender care gap.
Natalie Strohmaier studied architecture at KIT Karlsruhe and ETH Zurich. She went on to complete postgraduate studies at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF), graduating with a diploma in production design for film and television. In 2018 she began an accelerated apprenticeship in photography and qualified as a Master Photographer (Photographer Master) in 2020. She has her own studio in Munich, works on commission with a focus on product and still life photography, and pursues independent projects.
