Natalie Strohmaier is a photographer and AI artist based in Munich. She plans and composes her images down to the last detail. Whether a motif is built by hand and photographed, generated entirely with AI, or a combination of both, depends on the individual image and on what is feasible. Her independent work deals with social issues she encounters in everyday life, among them the excess of sugar and plastic, the symptoms of perimenopause, and the gender care gap.
Natalie Strohmaier studied architecture at KIT Karlsruhe and ETH Zurich. She went on to complete postgraduate studies at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF), graduating with a diploma in production design for film and television. In 2018 she began an accelerated apprenticeship in photography and qualified as a Master Photographer (Fotografenmeisterin) in 2020. She has her own studio in Munich, works on commission with a focus on product and still life photography, and pursues independent projects.

In ihren freien Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich mit gesellschaftlichen Themen, die ihr im Alltag begegnen, etwa dem Überfluss von Zucker und Plastik, den Symptomen der Perimenopause oder dem Gender Care Gap.
Natalie Strohmaier studierte Architektur am KIT Karlsruhe und an der ETH Zürich. Im Anschluss daran absolvierte sie ein Aufbaustudium an der HFF München, das sie als Diplom Film- und Fernsehszenenbildnerin abschloss. 2018 begann sie eine verkürzte Ausbildung zur Fotografin, die sie 2020 als Fotografenmeisterin abschloss. Sie hat ein eigenes Studio in München und arbeitet im Auftrag mit Schwerpunkt Produkt und Stillleben sowie an freien Projekten.
